Funeral
And look at this! What a fantastic photo! This is my great-great-grandfather's funeral procession.
A big thank you to my new 2nd cousin once removed, Geraldine, who sent me this and other fantastic photos.
Moi aussi mon petit!! Promise me, if I go before you, that you will get a bunch of sailors to pull my coffin around Chapel Hill. Maybe they don't have to be sailors...perhaps they could be mountaineers....cyclists? family historians? filmmakers? ...I just like the idea of a slow inconvenient procession...makes people stop and think a bit doesn't it?
All other funereal arrangements hereby defunct.
